Abstract

 
The research aimed to determine the respondents' knowledge degree of the climate changes concept, its reasons, its most important manifestations, and its impact on natural, human and social capital, as well as the respondents' knowledge of agricultural extension activities to limit climate changes.
The research was conducted on a random sample of 285 respondents from the selected villages, namely: Khaleeg Bahri in Motobas district, Al-Shehabiya in Baltim district, and Al-Shakhlouba in Sidi Salem district, which is located on the coastal strip of the Mediterranean in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. A questionnaire was used in personal interview during the months of January and February 2021 AD, and after collecting the data.
-        More than two-thirds of the respondents (69.5%) have an average level of knowledge of the concept of climate changes in general, and nearly two-thirds (65.3%) of the respondents (65.3%) have an average level of knowledge of the causes of changes, while nearly half of the respondents (46.3%) have a high knowledge of the manifestations of climate changes .
-        Almost half of the respondents (49.1%) have moderate knowledge of the impact of climatic changes on natural capital, while 75% of the respondents have high knowledge of the impact of these changes on human capital, and more than half of the respondents (51.2%) have high knowledge of the impact of climate changes on social capital.
-        More than half of the respondents (51.9%) have low knowledge of extension activities to reduce the impact of climate change and benefit from them.
-        There is a positive correlation at a significant level of 0.01 between each of the items of climate change  and between each degree of its impact on natural, human, and social capital.
