Journal of Scientific Journal of Agricultural Sciences (SJAS) is an international, and peer-reviewed journal. It aspires to publish high-quality original research articles, review articles that not have been published or considered for publication elsewhere, which focus on at least one of the topics of agricultural sciences.
v Language:
Please write your manuscript in good English (American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture). Authors who feel their English language manuscript may require editing to eliminate possible grammatical or spelling errors are asked to use any English language editing service.
v Submission:
The submission of manuscripts via the electronic submission system (https://sjas.journals.ekb.eg) through the SJASwebsite. Tables and figures must be presented with captions within the main body of the manuscript in a single Microsoft Word file. Please ensure the figures and the tables included in the single file are placed next to the relevant text in the manuscript, rather than at the bottom or the top of the file.
v Peer review:
This journal operates a double-blind review process. All contributions will be initially assessed by the editor for suitability for the journal. Papers deemed suitable are then sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers to assess the scientific quality of the paper. The Editor is responsible for the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of articles. The Editor's decision is final.
v Plagiarism:
Plagiarism is globally recognized as a serious academic offense. As part of our commitment to the protection and enhancement of the peer review process, editors assist the scientific community in all aspects of publishing ethics, especially in cases of (suspected) duplicate submission or plagiarism.
v Conflicts of Interest:
Authors must identify any personal circumstances or interest that may inappropriately influence the representation or interpretation of research results. If there is no conflict of interest, please state "The authors declare no conflict of interest."
v Types of contribution:
Journal of Scientific Journal of Agricultural Sciences welcomes the following contributions:
1. Original Research papers:
Research papers should include a title of not more than 15 words; the names, qualifications, and addresses of each author; an e-mail address for the corresponding author; and an abstract of not more than 300 words covering the methods and results of the study. They should be set out in the following sections: abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, references. Acknowledgment can be involved. The text should be as concise as possible.
2. Review articles:
Review articles dealing with all aspects of agricultural sciences, within the scope of the journal which, and of active current interest will be accepted, but subject to the approval of the Editor-in-Chief. They may be submitted or invited. Typically, we would expect articles to be around 4000 words, excluding references. v Article structure:
Articles in English should be prepared in MS Word format in Times New Roman, font 14, with wide page margins and 2 line spacing for reviewing.
After acceptance, Articles in English should be prepared in MS Word format in Times New Roman font 12 with margins 2.54 cm. One line spacing in two colums 0.7 cm between them except title(font 14 bold), Author names(font 13 bold) and affiliations (font 12),abstract(font 11) written in one column. Arabic summary (font 12)must be involved at the end of manuscript. It must be contain the Title (font 14 bold), Author names(font 13 bold) and affiliations(font 12) in Arabic language. The manuscript will prepared in the final format through proofreading, English editing and final corrections by authors.
Notes
Research of the agricultural economy and social and human sciences can be accepted in Arabic prepared in MS Word format in simplified Arabic font 12 with margins 2.54 cm. One line spacing in two columns 0.7 cm between them except title(font 14 bold), Author names(font 13 bold) and affiliations(font 12), Arabic summery (font 12) written in one column. The abstract of Articles in English should be prepared in MS Word format in Times New Roman font 11. Finally, 4-5 keywords (font 11)should be involved.
Subdivision - numbered sections
Divide your article into clearly defined and numbered sections. Subsections should be numbered 1.1 (then 1.1.1, 1.1.2, ...), 1.2, etc. (the abstract and references are not included in section numbering).
Title. Concise and informative. Titles are often used in information-retrieval systems. Avoid abbreviations and formulae where possible.
Author names and affiliations. Please clearly indicate the given name(s) and family name(s) of each author and check that all names are accurately spelled. Present the authors' affiliation addresses (where the actual work was done, including the country name) below the names. Indicate all affiliations with a lower-case superscript letter immediately after the author's name and in front of the appropriate address.
At least one author should be assigned as the corresponding author, and his/her email address and other details should be written at the end of the affiliation section.
Abstract:
A concise and factual abstract is required between 150 to 250 words,. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the principal results, and major conclusions. An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. For this reason, References should be avoided, but if essential, then cite the author(s) and year(s). Also, non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided, but if essential they must be defined at their first mention in the abstract itself.
Keywords: from four to six words in alphabetical order and suitable for indexing.
1. Introduction:
State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.
2. Material and methods:
Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described.
3. Results:
Results should be clear and concise.
4. Discussion:
This should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature.
5. Conclusion:
The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions section, which may stand alone or form a subsection of a Discussion or Results and Discussion section.
6. Acknowledgements:
It includes information about funding sources. Besides, list here those individuals who provided help during the research (e.g., providing language help, writing assistance or proof reading the article, etc.).
References:
Citation in text:
Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Unpublished results and personal communications are not recommended in the reference list but may be mentioned in the text. Citation of a reference as 'in press' implies that the item has been accepted for publication.
The Harvard system whereby the author’s names and date of publication appear in the text will be used. Where there are joint authors, only the name of the first should be given in the text followed by et al. References to several works by the same author published in one year should be distinguished as 2009a, 2009b, e.t.c. The list of references must be alphabetically arranged on a separate page.

Artwork:
General points:
Number the illustrations according to their sequence in the text.
Figures should be referred to as Fig. 1, Fig. 2, so on, according to their sequence in the text. Reference must be made in the text to each figure.
Provide a caption to each illustration directly below it. Ensure that each illustration has a caption. A caption should comprise a brief title (not on the figure itself) and a description of the illustration. Keep text in the illustrations themselves to a minimum but explain all symbols and abbreviations used.
The same data should not be given more than once - i.e. it should not appear in both text and figures, or in both figures and tables. Adopt the most concise approach
Where appropriate, indications of the variability of the data should be given (e.g. standard error bars).
Authors should take account of the limitations set by the size and layout of the journal. Wide tables should be avoided.
Column headings should be brief but sufficiently explanatory. Standard abbreviations of units of measurement should be added between parentheses.
Vertical lines should not be used between columns. Leave some extra space instead(0.5cm).
Formats
If your artwork is created in a Microsoft Office application (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) then please supply 'as is' in the native document format. Regardless of the application used other than Microsoft Office, when your electronic artwork is finalized, please 'Save as' or convert the images to the following format:
TIFF (or JPEG): Color or grayscale photographs (halftones), keep to a minimum of 300 dpi.
Tables:
Please submit tables as editable text and not as images. Tables should be placed next to the relevant text in the article. Number tables consecutively in accordance with their appearance in the text and place any table notes below the table body. Be sparing in the use of tables and ensure that the data presented in them do not duplicate results described elsewhere in the article. Please avoid using vertical rules.
Cover Letter:
It should be concise and explain the significance and impact of the submitted manuscript. (optional)
No changes of the authorship including addition, deletion, or rearrangement of author names are possible after acceptance of the manuscript.
v Proofs:
An electronic proof will be sent in PDF format to the corresponding author to check for typesetting accuracy. Page proofs are considered the final version of the manuscript. At this stage, except for typographical or minor corrections, no changes or additions are permissible. Corrected proofs should be returned to the publisher within 72 hours of receipt. It is important to ensure that all corrections be sent in one communication.
v Publishing costs:
The cost of publishing research for Egyptian authors inside the Arab Republic of Egypt is 750 pounds for the first 10 pages, and for loaned Egyptian authors, 1,500 pounds for the first 10 pages, and more than that, 50 pounds is paid for the extra page in both cases, and 100 pounds is paid for the cost of the colored page from The research is for each hard copy, The payment is requested after the review process and prior to the final decision of the editorial board.
For non-Egyptian authors Publishing fee is one hundred dollars (100 $ USD ), with a maximum of 20 pages, and 30 dollars will be added to the color page (in the printed version), in addition to the postage costs for obtaining the printed copies.
A consideration for reviewing of the manuscript is paid in the amount of 500 pounds for Egyptians and 50 dollars for non-Egyptians authors before starting reviewing.
The corresponding author of the accepted article will be informed with the payment method via email. If the author needs extra printed copies of his/her manuscript, he/she will pay extra charges for each copy (Send copies by mail, and color pages printed have extra costs).

Authors retain copyright without any restrictions and transfer the commercial rights only to the Scientific Journal of Agricultural Sciences. All published articles are licensed under CC-BY-NC Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License.
