Analytical study of freshwater fish production and the most important problems faced by producers in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate

Abstract

Target  search : Estimation of the most important factors affecting the output of freshwater fish in the research sample season 2020/2021., Problems facing freshwater fish producers and their solutions according to the research sample.
The most important research results:
1-     The water source used in most of the farms of the research sample uses agricultural drainage water. It turned out that the semi-intensive culture pattern is the most prevalent in the sample farms in the governorate.
2-     The average annual net profit amounted to about 192.3 thousand pounds for the sample farms in the center of Riyadh, and about 208 thousand pounds for the sample farms in the center of Sidi Salem.
3-     The total fish production in Kafr El-Sheikh governorate amounted to about 42% of the total Egyptian fish production, and the fish production in the governorate increased at an annual growth rate of about 6.6% during the research period.
4-     The most important production problems facing producers of freshwater fish in the research sample, according to their opinions, are: the problem of high prices of production requirements, then the problem of pollution of the water used in farming.
Recommendations:
1-     Increasing the reliance on the intensive and semi-intensive culture.
2-     Benefiting from the results of scientific research in the field of agriculture.
3-     Not to throw wastes into the agricultural wastewater intended for fish farming.
