The Impact of Climate Change on Rural Life Aspects Frome The Perspective of Rural Women in Assiut Governorate

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of rural women’s knowledge of climate changes, their level of knowledge of the effects of those changes, and to identify their behavior towards Preserving the environment, olso identifying the factors influencing their behaviour, as well as identifying the differences in the degree of actual behavior towards Preserving the environment between female respondents who are aware or not aware about climate changes . To achieve the goal of the study, the rural families were counted from the 2017 census, and the districts were divided into three categories gradually ascending to the top. A random districts was chosen from the middle category (Al-Fath districts), also the village of Al-Fima was chosen randomly, a sample of 5% was taken (200 families), and the data was collected using a questionnaire form, which was transcribed and statistically analyzed. The results showed that more than half of the sample knew about 
climate changes, and television was their source of information, and their level of knowledge about the images of those changes was average. The results indicated that the level of knowledge of the respondents about their effects on health, water and soil was average, while their level of knowledge about their effects on food was strong. the results showed that the respondents female who were aware of these changes had an average degree of their actual behavior towards 
Preserving the environment, while who were not aware tended to harm the environment.
